The Origin
Momma Maryland had a way of making everything feel intentional. The way she cared for her skin wasn’t a routine — it was a ritual. A quiet, daily act of devotion to herself that she passed down without ever saying a word about it.
When we created House of Maryland, we carried that same energy into every formula, every ingredient, every step of the P.I.E. Ritual™. Every product in the Ebon Collection carries her legacy — the belief that your skin deserves intention, not afterthought.
The Gap We Filled
For decades, the beauty industry formulated for one skin tone and called it universal. Products designed for lighter complexions were marketed to everyone — and women with melanin-rich skin were left to figure it out on their own.
We knew better. The P.I.E. Ritual™ was built from the ground up for Black and Brown skin — with botanical ingredients chosen specifically for how they interact with deeper skin tones, not adapted from formulas that were never meant for us.
